UNIFIED COMMUNICATION

Integrating more modern Unified Communications solutions within a global project called Be Connected. It was within this context that Souza Cruz hired Nap IT, with the mission of evaluating its telephony systems capacity and its technological environment.

For it, the first definition was to apply the Collab Assessment across the 11 company sites infrastructure, in addition to the matrix.

The analysis, which was carried out over four months, identified obsolete and unsupported equipment, which generated high telephony costs, especially in international calls, which represented up to 30% of the expenses cost. Therefore, it was suggested that Souza Cruz to update the technology, replacing analogue systems with VOIP.

BE CONNECTED PROJECT

In order to make this upgrade, the strategy was to improve network infrastructure, serving as a foundation for integrating new Cisco Unified Communications Management solutions. The 11 units received integrations. The VoIP installation allowed to create a telephony network of its own, with more safety and availability. In addition, the Nap IT team has also created a private and secure channel for communication between the company’s employees’ mobile devices.

BE CONNECTED PROJECT

In the Be Connected project first phase, the company benefited more than 700 users from its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), in Santa Cruz do Sul branch (RS) and the Integrated Distribution Center (CID) in Porto Alegre (RS). In the second phase, it integrated three more locations, starting with the PC Américas website implementation, which operates with research for the America region, through 300 employees.

Souza Cruz started to operate with state-of-the-art telephony solutions to guarantee high performance in the communication processes of almost three thousand employees. The result was reduced expenses, as the system uses the lowest cost route search, which transforms DDD link into local link cost. The project also brought about improved communication and engagement among those involved, transforming an initiative to update technology in service with high added value for the employees’ daily routine.
